My First Job Hunt
Honestly, I didn’t expect to land myself a job about 2 months right after my graduation. I guess being in the jobless category for 2 months is a relatively short period of time; considering the fact that I’ve only started sending out my resume 2 weeks after my graduation. Since then, I’ve been into 5 interviews (out of 5 resumes sent) and landed with 2 job offers. I must be truly blessed to be given such an opportunity in my quest of seeking for my first job as an Electrical & Electronics Engineering graduate.
Among the 2 job offers, I’ve finally decided to take up the offer given to me by ON Semiconductor as an equipment engineer under the Engineering Apprentice Program (EAP). I could only say that ON’s offer is way much better than the other… and so I’ve put my signature on the dotted line and will report for work in a couple of days time. Hopefully my first job will be a pleasant one, where I can learn as an apprentice engineer and at the same time contribute to the company my time and skills as an engineer.
As for those who are also currently seeking for job, I wish you guys/gals all the best!! There seems to be quite a lot of job opportunities out there right now in Malaysia. Good Luck!!
Congrats to you and good luck. But remember, whatever you do – the design of your future is in your hand.
