Site Upgrade: WordPress 2.0

It took me some time to finally upgrade the blog to the newer version – WordPress 2.0. For most readers, there would not be any obvious differences. However, on the back-end and administrative side of the new version, many improvements can be seen or felt. WordPress 2.0 now uses a couple of AJAX techniques to improve the feel while blogging. The previous version, WordPress 1.5 has a good user interface, but WordPress 2.0 just made it better. It’s an improvement that should be given due credit, and probably one of the first open source projects (that I know of) to jump onto the Web 2.0 bandwagon.

I shall also be working on adding some plug-ins to improve the blog’s features, both on the back-end and front-end (reader) side in coming weeks. I am also considering a new theme design that I could truly call mine (the current design is just a simple fusion of Kubrick and Blue Marinee). This new theme design idea is partially ignited by KCYap’s WordPress Theme Competition. Since I am currently jobless, I might just try putting my (mediocre) theme designing skills up against the best in the world.

Re your comment about kcyap.( kcyap.com/2dayblog.com -Justin Yap):
The real person behind the posting of daily entries in 2dayblog.com is Malaysian blogger Justin Yap. Justin’s own website is kcyap.com but he committed a wordpress design contest scam earlier this year and he is now hiding behind the 2dayblog.com website. His website kcyap.com is now redirected to 2dayblog.com. If you type “kcyap +scam” in Google search box, you can view pages relating to the scam committed by kcyap
